FAQ’s

  • No, but I can offer a “super bill” after you have paid for services. You can then submit this to your insurance for reimbursement.

  • Telehealth sessions are held in a private space. In therapy, everything is confidential. This means I can’t tell anyone that you are my client. People will only know if you decide to share with them.

  • Just like my sessions with anyone else, our sessions will be confidential. This is important when working with your child. Although, there are exceptions to this and we will go over them together.

  • My clients will always be involved in deciding the frequency and duration of therapy. You are free to adjust or terminate services at any time you choose to.

  • My hours are by appointment only. I schedule my first appointment at 9 am and my last at 4 pm (unless otherwise agreed upon).

  • The easiest way to reach me is by email. Phone calls and voicemails will be returned by the end of the day or the following morning, except on holidays.

  • I understand that things can come up, so we both must respect your appointment time. Please cancel or reschedule through email, 24 hours in advance. Appointments canceled less than 24 hours in advance, will be charged as a full session to the client.

If I have an unexpected event, I will communicate this with you as soon as possible and we will reschedule.

  • You have the right to a “Good Faith Estimate”, explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including therapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare service, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

When a client chooses to begin therapy with me, the costs for your sessions are discussed upfront. The only other costs that could be incurred are a no-show/late cancellation fee (the cost of the missed session), or fees for court-related appearances or tasks (also included in our paperwork). My clients will never be surprised by my therapy charges. If you have further questions, or would like a written Good Faith Estimate, please feel free to discuss/request one at any time.
